The T3sk3y Defenestrator

Time to hand it off to the pros.

I SUCK at lawn care.

To start with, we got some pretty bad sod in our new development. It’s loaded with crabgrass and weeds. On top of that, all the soil underneath our sod is good ol’ MN River clay – so nothing grows well. Therefore, this spring – my lawn looked pretty bad right from the git-go.

But, this year is going to be different! I’m going to make my lawn one to be proud of!

I started turning over my new leaf.. er.. blade of grass, as it were.. by putting on my spring coat of weed & feed fertilizer. My spreader, inherited from my wife, decided to dump PILES of it out onto my lawn. Yes, piles. Ever try to scoop fertilizer back up? Nope, impossible. For my troubles, I’ve now got big dead spots and nasty streaks all over my lawn. Grr.

So, 1 month into the new season, I’m retiring. I’m taking bids on having the pros come out and thatch (tried it once and dug up half of my lawn), aerate, and properly fertilize / kill the nasty stuff.

Uhh … didn’t I try to tell you about the lawn striping tool (aka ‘drop spreader’)?
